SuperX has a lots of applications to use, explore and play with. In this article we try to explore some of the application, which are popular among SuperX users. Some of these apps are also popular among users of Microsoft Windows and other popular platforms.




Mozilla Thunderbird is a free, open source, cross-platform email, news, and chat client developed by the Mozilla Foundation. The project strategy was modeled after that of the Mozilla Firefox web browser. Here you can configure your email to get best out of your daily Email usages.

Firefox is an open-source web browser which provides excellent browsing speed, rich suite of customization options to personalize your daily Internet sessions, clean navigation mode, as well as extensions provided by third-party developers for adding extra functions.


VLC Player


VLC media player (commonly known as VLC) is a portable, free and open-source, cross-platform media player and streaming media server written by the VideoLAN project. Here you can play your regular audio and video files.


The default music player of SuperX, Musique is a compact player with support for most audio formats. The interface is very simple and intuitive. Here you can have your all music collection ready to play.


You can find the basic player controls in the upper left corner. To the right of it you can see a bar which shows the progress of the song as it plays. The main section of the window you see in the previews of the music files in the library. That's the place where all the music files on your computer show up. They are categorized based on the artists. To the right of it, you can see the playlist. You can drag items there to set up a single playlist. Also, you can click the artists in the main area to open up their albums and then the corresponding songs.

Openshot Video Editor is the video editor of choice in SuperX. It is undoubtedly one of the best open source video editors out there with a rich pile of features to help you make your videos. Openshot possesses one of the neatest interfaces ever.

Image Editor


GNU Image Manipulation Program, or GIMP is a free and open-source raster graphics editor used for image retouching and editing, free-form drawing, resizing, cropping, photo-montages, converting between different image formats, and more specialized tasks. GIMP can be alternative to Photoshop.



If you prefer using something really simple paint application like MS-Paint,you can use Paint.

The interface of Paint in SuperX is very similar to that of MS Paint.Everything is pretty easy and self explanatory if you've used MS Paint before. The options however are limited to just drawing simple stuff. For other image editing features, use GIMP.


SANE is an application that can access to raster image scanner hardware, video and still-cameras.

The software updater allows you to update your application in a few clicks. It automatically checks for updates and notifies the user when updates are available.

SuperX App Center

SuperX Apps Center is the package manager for SuperX, downloads the applications you select, and it will follow to the instructions included in the application's package to install your software and all of its dependencies,in good order.




Calculator is easy to use,users can manipulate mathematical expressions,including evaluating simple calculation.Provide operations for the user.
